Pickleball Peeps
Ever since I was a child I loved being creative – it always takes me to my happy place. Pickleball Peeps has become my creative outlet, giving me the opportunity to design and create something tangible for my Peeps. It is rewarding being able to offer new and unique Pickleball items to so many great Pickleball enthusiast who love the sport as much as I do.
Discovering Pickleball
Pickleball was introduced to our family by chance in December of 2017. It was meant to be a sport for my Dad to take up at the request of my Mom who had recently passed away from ALS. She wanted him to have an outlet other then golf to help get him out of the house and meeting new people. We purchased a set of Pickleball paddles and balls for my Dad’s Christmas gift from my Mom. My husband, who is always up to learning a new sport, mentioned we should all go out and try it at the local courts. This is when our lives changed and the Pickleball addiction took hold.
My husband went from a workaholic to a Pickleball fanatic playing 2 to 3 hours a day. I myself had never experienced a sport that had me so engaged since I played volleyball back in high school. Our teenage daughter picked it up and made a new set of “senior friends.” My Dad gets out to play once in awhile too. Pickleball has introduced us to a whole new group of wonderful friends who truly enjoy the sport as much as us.
